Testing information systems is a major concern for many organisations. It is often perceived as costly, time consuming, boring to do, and difficult to manage. In some organisations testing had become another word for contingency. Testers are sometimes blamed for having found faults which cause the application or system not to be deployed according to plan. But testing is unavoidable if even greater problems in production or in the live business environment are to be avoided.
