Agile MethodologiesDaily SCRUM: Not mere a Status Reporting
One of the important key SCRUM practices is Daily SCRUM. It happens daily during each sprint and everyone within team joins this. The meeting should not take more than 15 minutes. During this daily SCRUM everyone answers the following three questions:
1. What’s completed last day?
2. What’s the task for today?
3. Any barriers?
Often people take it as typical status meeting or take it very casually and eventually it consequences wrong result. This is not mere status update meeting in which a one person (Project Manager or team lead) collects information about who is behind the schedule. Rather, it is a meeting in which every team member makes commitments to each other. This has the wonderful effect of helping all team members realize the significance of these commitments.
