Next Generation Messaging Middleware
While complex broker-based and homegrown messaging systems were appropriate for monolithic IT environments, they do not answer the demands of today's distributed, high traffic environments. In order to reliably run their mission-critical systems and deploy new technologies such as SOA and RFID, both enterprises and ISVs require middleware systems that take an entirely new approach to messaging.
To address this issue, the innovative open-source MantaRay project was created. Its core technology combines two cutting edge design concepts that complement and build upon each other - messaging system optimization and peer-to-peer architecture. This combination has enabled the creation of multi-platform middleware which is much more powerful than traditional messaging systems in terms of speed, scalability, reliability, affordability, flexibility, ease-of-use, and deployment time.
