Ship future versions of Delphi on DVD-ROM

QC#: 6522 Version: 7.0 Status: Open defect, requires resolution Description: The size of Delphi distributions has grown significantly since the first versions and this latest edition, including a lot of the optional components and such, consumes 4 CD's in total. It'd be nice if all the data was available on one disc (a DVD), and it'd give more room for components and files from Borland or their contributors.
DVD-ROM also has the potential, especially if it's a dual layer production, of including videos and such from BorCon for example (obviously not enough that it devalues paying and going to BorCon, but certainly some minor production isn't out of the question I'd think). In other words, "fun" content. :P
Either way, having all of the Delphi-related materials on one disc would be enough to satisfy this report.
Delphi would continue to be distributed on CD-ROM as well, of course, the DVD version would be optional (possibly even at a slight discount for the lower weight and smaller physical size involved-- Microsoft offers Encarta for example at a cheaper rate if the DVD o...
