The Sun Certified System Administrator for Solaris 10 Operating System Upgrade
Exam is geared toward those candidates with one or more years of experience in a
Solaris Operating System. The Upgrade certification exam requires extensive
knowledge of the new Solaris 10 OS system administration features as covered in
the SA-200-S10, SA-202-S10, SA-201-S10, and SA-203-S10 courseware and that the
test candidate has system administration expertise for both SPARC, AMD64, and
x86 based systems. The exam includes multiple-choice, scenario-based questions,
drag and drop questions and requires extensive knowledge on new and advanced
Solaris Administration topics including how to manage file systems, install
software, perform system boot and shutdown procedures, perform user and security
administration, describe network basics, and use Service Management Facility,
and Solaris zones.

This exam is for candidates who have already successfully completed the Sun
Certified System Administrator Exam, both Part I and Part II of a previous
version of the Solaris OS (2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 7, 8, 9). Reseller exams are not
applicable. Candidates who are not previously certified cannot take the upgrade
exam. In addition, the test candidate's Solaris OS Certification must have been
in the complete Solaris Certification track (that is, the student must have
taken and passed the Solaris 7 OS System Administration I and the Solaris 7 OS
System Administration II exam). Those test candidates with a "mix and match"
certification do not qualify.
